how to book your room?

E-mail Print PDF

UniqueSmallHotels advises you as hotel guest the following booking procedure.

  1. Select your hotel on the basis of the information on UniqueSmallHotels website, the hotel’s website and other information sites.
  2. Check on guest comment sites such as Tripadvisor, Google, Yahoo if previous guests were satisfied and can recommend the hotel. UniqueSmallHotels objective is that only small hotels with positive guest comments are taken up in our exclusive list.
  3. Click on the red “BOOK DIRECT’ button which connects you directly to the availability/reservation page. Alternatively you can also send an email to the hotel.
  4. Check with the hotel if rooms are available on the dates you want to stay there. Many of the hotels on our list, do not use any longer the big booking engines as they are difficult ti find among the chain hotels.
  5. In case the proposed room rate differs from what you have seen on other sites, be open to the hotel owner and ask him if he can offer you the same rate. Please note that reservations made through booking engines may give you in some cases a lower price, however beware of the conditions. These bookings do often not include breakfast, a welcome gift, late check-out possibility, free access to spa facilities etc. and may give you a room in a less prominent part of the hotel.
  6. Make sure you only give credit card information on a secured page of the website (https). If this is not possible, consider to call the hotel. By cutting out intermediaries such as big booking engines and travel agents, you limit the possibility that your name together with the credit card number and extra security code is known by too many organisations and persons.
  7. If you need to book a flight, tell the hotel owner that you book on the condition that you find a suitable flight. Check our LOW COST FARE website, which you can reach by clicking the banner on the right hand side of the home page.
  8. Please mention to the hotel owner that you found his hotel through UniqueSmallHotels.

Quality and not Quantity

UniqueSmallHotels aim is to promote a limited number ( 500 - 600 ) small unique hotels through active on-line marketing. Small hotels appear nearly always at the end of a long list or are not visible at all on major booking sites. UniqueSmallHotels is focusing on making the individual website of a small hotel more visible and is putting all its efforts in connecting the hotelier at an early stage during the booking proces to the potential guest.
